Late WWI German ground attack aircraft and follow-on to the successful CL.II; LFG Roland license built variant. Kit features restrained fabric-over-frame effects, well equipped cockpits (including fuselage framing, bulkheads and fuel tank), fully rendered Mercedes D.III engine, separately molded control surfaces and engine cowl panels, choice of Parabellum LMG14 or 14/17 observer’s machine gun, LMG 08/15 ‘Spandau’ pilot’s machine guns (x2) and acetate film instruments and windscreen. Also features photo-etch parts (including gun details, cockpit accents, access panels, radiator accessories, seatbelts and propeller boss plates). Includes extensive instruction booklet with rigging diagram. Decals and color painting guide for (4) Luftstreitkräfte aircraft: s/n 8103/18 as preserved at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum; s/n 9407/18; s/n 8171/18 and s/n 9455/18 – does NOT include lozenge pattern decals.
