After years of waiting for the super sensitive research, Academy was finally able to receicve the correct information to develop this highly detailed kit. Unlike any Raptor kit before it, this is the first truly accurate model of this most awesome air platform of the 21 century. In 2003 F-22s started to roll off the production lines and arrive at their designated squadrons. Lockheed Martin is producing them at the rate of 20 per year. By 2007 100 aircraft had been delivered to the USAF. This advanced aircraft is capable of so much more than the F-15 it replaces. Its stealth shape and construction (including all weapons being carried internally, allows it to avoid radar detection.
