I created this beautiful, classy Cameo Brooch using a vintage 40mm x 30mm decal featuring a Winter Lady Cameo cabochon, a reproduction of a painting by Alphonse Mucha*. I surrounded it by a beadwoven frame made with size 11 and size 15 gold, iridescent blue and pink seed beads from Japanese Miyuki, sewn one bead at a time, in a design that would enhance its natural beauty. Finished with a Gothic Filigree Antique silver frame. I am always choosing the best materials in my work. The Brooch has a strong, Silver plated good quality pin back. My initials IM are stamped into the silver palette that is applied to the back of the brooch. This beautiful handmade brooch makes a wonderful gift for yourself or someone you love. Lovely conversation piece! *Alfons Maria Mucha, known internationally as Alphonse Mucha, was a Czech painter, illustrator and graphic artist, living in Paris during the Art Nouveau period, best known for his distinctly stylized and decorative theatrical posters, particularly those of Sarah Bernhardt. (Wikipedia). The «Frosty winter» is a part of The Seasons, 1900 My artistic soul was always fascinated by Cameos. They are witnesses of elegant styles for many great Ladies in history.
