Our stainless steel Ball Chains are made in the US and are the same chains issued to the US military P-38 is 1.5 INCHES LONG / P-51 is 2 INCHES LONG - The P-38 can openers are 1.5 inches long and the P-51 can openers are 2 inches long. Both have a hole for a key ring or ball chain and each has a sharp blade to puncture and open normal sized food cans. You can also use them as a flat head screwdriver in a pinch. The classic designs make them perfect for backpacking, travel, hiking and bug out bags HOW TO USE THE CAN OPENERS - 1. Open blade 2. Place the notch of the can opener on the rim of the can with the blade inside the rim 3. Twist the blade down so that it punctures the lid of the can 4. Repeat twisting while turning the can 5. Be careful removing the lid. The lid will be sharp HOW TO CLOSE THE CHAINS - Put one ball in the connector and pull the chain from each side away from the connector until the chain 'snaps' into the connector. These are real US military stainless steel chains and are a bit harder to get connected. It may take a good tug to get it to snap into place. Don't be afraid, these are US Military chains.
