Spudsy is uniquely positioned around upcycled sweet potatoes because we are obsessed with sweet potatoes! In fact, every sweet potato we use in our snacks is upcycled. Pretty SWEET, huh? ut what exactly is upcycling? It is the process of transforming unwanted waste materials into new materials or products of better quality with environmental value. Over 150 million lbs of sweet potatoes end up in landfills each year because they are deemed imperfect due to minor ‘flaws’ like shape, size, and color. We upcycle these imperfect spuds to create the sweet potato flour used in our products because, well, we don’t judge a tater by its lumps!
