3M 4941 VHB tape is a double-sided tape which utilizes a multi-purpose acrylic adhesive on both sides of conformable foam. The adhesive provides excellent adhesion to a broad range of high and medium surface energy substrates including metals, glass, and a wide variety of plastics, as well as Plasticized vinyl. The conformable foam provides good contact, even with mismatched substrates. Application uses include ABS support structure bonding, aluminum floor bonding, bonding door kick and seal plate, bonding glass to a metal oven door, bonding mounting bars to glass, bus body side panel bonding, channel stiffener bonding on truck bodies, commercial vehicle roof vent attachment, commercial vehicle trim attachment, extruded plastic channel bonding, interior rail car construction, Nameplate attachment on commercial vehicles, rail car bonding metal stiffeners, rail car light cover attachment, roof bow bonding on truck bodies, side panel bonding on commercial trailers, stack unit support bracket bonding, trim fairing bonding on truck Cab exteriors and truck body Nameplate bonding.
