Around her waist is a belt with blue stars that spins and lights up when you press a button on the back of her leg. The spinning star belt is at its best in a dark room, where it does indeed look pretty nifty. When she's wearing her long skirt, it's best to hold the skirt down or the belt won't spin, and we noticed that our hands and clothing were covered in sparkles when we were done playing. This is a beautiful Barbie, but the slightly temperamental lights and the fact that you can't remove the belt make us wonder how long a child will play with this doll after the novelty has worn off.
