Stanley Blair" as Administrative Assistant to the Vice President, 1 page, 7x9. Office of the Vice President, Washington, D.C., 1969 December 15. On official letterhead to Mr. Jack F. Dodds, Principal, Riley Elementary School, Lincoln, Nebraska. In full: "The Vice President has asked me to thank you for your letter and to congratulate you on undertaking such a worthwhile project. I am enclosing an address by the Vice President which may cover your request. [Item not included.] Unfortunately, the demands upon the time of the Vice President will not permit him to give personal attention to each request. Be assured however, that he appreciates your taking the time to write to him. Sincerely". Charles Stanley Blair (1927-1980) was Maryland's Secretary of State (1967-1969) and Vice President Agnew's Chief of Staff (1969-1970), resigning that post to run unsuccessfully for Governor of Maryland. He was appointed by President Nixon to the US District Court for Maryland in 1971, serving until his death. Light surface creases on bottom margin.
