This Gulf Coast wild flower seed mix is specifically formulated for the Gulf Coast, Caribbean, Southern Florida, and the most southern part of Texas. The species in this mix are suited for the humidity and temperature extremes. This is a mix of both perennial and annuals, and the species in the mix include: Cornflower, Siberian Wallflower, Shasta Daisy, Lance-leaved Coreopsis, Plains Coreopsis, Cosmos, Sulphur Cosmos, Rocket Larkspur, African Daisy, Purple Coneflower, California Poppy, Indian Blanket, Annual Baby’s Breath, Tree Mallow, Gayfeather, Spurred Snapdragon, Scarlet Flax, Sweet Alyssum, Perennial Lupine, Four O’Clocks, Dwarf Evening Primrose, and Corn Poppy. Prepare a site by removing weeds and loosening soil. Seed can be broadcast and raked into the soil, covering 2 – 3 times their thickness, or seed can be drilled to a maximum of ¼ inch. This Gulf Coast mix should be planted in the spring once soil temperature warm to 55F. Seed should stay moist by either rainfall or irrigation until germination occurs.
