A 3.75-inch long LCD screen and keypad--supplemented by clear, sharp sounds--make it responsive and interactive without users having to know how to type. They just use the accompanying stylus to poke in answers on a number of subjects: vocabulary, spelling, geography, animals, basic logic, counting, search-and-finds, memory, spatial relationships, story comprehension, "factoids," and more. One "Safari" activity pack comes with the Vtech system, but there are several other themes to choose from (sold separately).
