About the Antiskid felt backing: Small rubber dots have been embedded on a felt fabric layer roll that has been embedded with the woven cotton layer to create a more stable mat surface. This helps in supporting a yoga practitioner during the Asanas and postures. Please note the additional layer does not make the mat completely skid free. This mat is good for general Yogasana practice and for use on a carpeted surface.

  • Dimensions: 80 Inches by 26 Inches (+-1-2 inches as these are all handwoven products). The mat is approx. 6mm-7mm thick
  • Note: For more vigorous postures
  • we recommend using the cotton mats over an existing rubber/TPE mat to create a better support or use our natural rubber back option available in organic cotton mats.
  • Please note in order to give the thickness to the handwoven weave
  • the mat has been woven so that there is a towel like surface and feel of the mat. At times
  • the weave may feel uncomfortable so our recommendation is to use the towels for extra support for knees and joints. Cotton mats are extremely different to PVC or rubber mats
  • they are ecofriendly but require patience and practice to get used to.
